Some of the Letters and emails we received about the Concert

“Many congratulations to … the choir on an excellent evening. We were most impressed, especially with your own piece. And everyone on stage looked as if they were enjoying it so much.”

“great concert last night thank you – what a delight! “

“what a delight! that was the most amazing experience last night.

When I started as a trainee mental health social worker in 1966, little could I have imagined how far the services could come.

That was inspiring at every level. The music was wonderful and what is behind it beyond words. You surely are at the forefront it is just magic. I was so proud to be in Norwich/ Norfolk where this sort of thing can be achieved.

Well done to all”

“very well done all, something - quite special”

“congratulations the concert was great the atmosphere was really electric

I loved ‘Spring ‘ but my favourite was Warm Love which even inspired me to get out the old Van Morrison LP”

“As a member of the Sing Your Heart Out Choir and a participant of the Concert last night in Norwich, I would like to say how uplifted and moved I felt afterwards after all the hard work that had gone into the concert over the last few weeks. This is the first time that I have taken part in such an event and I can honestly say that if everyone else felt the way I did after the concert, this kind of event can only be beneficial to both staff and users of the Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Partnership and should be encouraged for the future. It also made me realise how much hard work goes into such an event and can so easily be taken for granted.”

“Fantastic evening, very moving …... Please pass on congratulations to all those involved - you all looked so happy and confident. I thought the red was very effective. The different sounds in the different pieces made it all so varied and interesting.”

“Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the concert last night, it was so joyous and moving. I thought 'Spring' was particularly good, it sounded and looked wonderful.”

“What a triumph! I loved it. Congratulations”

I felt that I had to e-mail you to say how much I enjoyed last night's concert at the Citadel.

I am a Care Worker to on of the ladies from xxxxx who took part last night, it was a pleasure to be watching and listening to such wonderful songs, Stand By Me had to be my favourite, because this song means so much to me, and the way that it was sung with so much passion it brought a tear to my eye.

It was lovely to see so many people from different backrounds supporting each other through the practice sessions, which I attended, and to observe how stronger the songs got every week.

I also noticed how much the audience enjoyed last night's performance, with people commenting on how well everybody sang, and by how smart that everybody looked.

I hope that I have the opportunity to be able to come along to one of your performances again in the not to distant future, please can you notify everyone that was involved last night of how brilliant they were…”

“It was a brilliant evening. It was lovely to see everyone smiling and standing up there doing their stuff. It was quite emotional out there in the audience as well, you could hear people all over the place at the interval saying that they never thought so and so would be able to do anything like that. Great stuff!

“That was a great concert last night. I thought the choir sounded really amazing and that's a view echoed by all my colleagues. They really do what it 'says on the tin' - sing their hearts out! .. …..All in all a brilliant evening! “
